WELCOME TO THE HOME OF
The beautiful Les Cheneaux Islands is where you will find the home of Ensign Fleet 31, which lies along the northern shore of Lake Huron in Michigan’s eastern upper peninsula. Thirty -six islands provide warm, sheltered channels and bays within the Straits of Mackinac- a historic harbor for boaters and explorers – while our outer bays offer an exhilarating venue for racing.
The largest fleet in the Ensign Class Association, our yacht races are sponsored by the Les Cheneaux Yacht Club located on Marquette Island in the center of the chain of islands. There are weekend races that take place on Saturdays in the month of July, and our annual LCYC Regatta is hosted during the first week of August.
Members of Ensign Fleet 31 are active participants on the ECA racing circuit and our fleet has hosted numerous Regional and National events. Two of our yachts hold the title of ECA National Champions.
